Meet our party officers

Chairman

Zak Constantine

Elected in 2022, Zak Constantine is the current leader of Orange County’s Democratic Party. Raised in Orange County, Zak is an alumnus of Goshen Central High School.

While pursuing his degree in Public Policy and Management at SUNY Albany’s Rockefeller College of Public Affairs, Zak remained deeply rooted in Orange County, engaging in community development and activism. He became a member of the Goshen Democratic Committee in 2018 while working on local campaigns, before joining the staff of former Senator Jen Metzger after she was elected that year.

On the committee Zak took on important roles running county-wide and legislative campaigns, and in 2020 he was elected to be a Vice Chair of the county party. In 2021, Zak was instrumental in re-chartering the Young Democrats of Orange County. As President he helped grow the chapter into one of our state’s largest and most active.

At 23 years old Zak is the youngest county-party leader in New York State, and he is committed to ushering in a new chapter for the Orange County Democrats. Focused on nurturing new leaders and inspiring greater attention to local politics, Zak hopes to make our committee an engaging source of advocacy, action, and community support.
